Friend of Canada's Healthy Workplace Month 2026

Unsinkable is a national Canadian storytelling charity founded by four-time Olympian and author Silken Laumann, built on the belief that sharing our stories can help us better understand ourselves and one another. We create thoughtful, supported experiences that help people explore, make meaning of, and share their lived experiences with agency and care. More than 500 storytellers have entrusted us with stories spanning identity and belonging, family and love, grief and loss, transition and reinvention, struggle, humanity and joy, creating a growing living library of the human experience, reaching millions across the country. Through storytelling initiatives, live experiences and partnerships, we bring those stories into communities to build connection, empathy and belonging.

Unsinkable creates spaces where people can share lived experiences, build connection, and deepen understanding around mental health.
Unsinkable @ Work (U@W) brings these conversations into workplaces and institutions, helping organizations foster healthier conversations around mental health, well-being, and resilience.

Through lived experience, expert insights, and interactive storytelling, U@W offers practical, engaging ways for employees and leaders to feel more heard, understood, and supported—while contributing to a broader national conversation about workplace mental health.
