About the Award

Canada’s Healthy Workplace Month Great Employer presented by Excellence Canada recognizes workplaces where employees feel they are valued, engaged and can thrive. Successful organizations receive a Certificate of Recognition and can use Canada’s Healthy Workplace Month Great Employer logo in their recruiting efforts and communication material to showcase their organization as an employer of choice.

How it works

Applications can be submitted directly from organizations that they believe are deserving of recognition. Applicants fill out an application form and are evaluated against four elements of a healthy workplace involves: (1) Healthy Lifestyles; (2) Mental Health and Workplace Culture; (3) Physical Environment; and (4) Corporate Social Responsibility. Successful organizations will receive a certificate of recognition and be featured on the Canada’s Healthy Workplace Month website. There is no fee to apply for Canada’s Healthy Workplace Month Great Employer.

Selection Process

Applicants are evaluated and benchmarked on their own merit against the awards criteria. An adjudication team comprised of business experts will assess all submissions and select the winners. There is no minimum or maximum number of winners for Canada’s Healthy Workplace Month Great Employer. 

Eligibility Requirements

Any organization with its head office or principal place of business in Canada may apply for this award. Organizations of any size may apply, whether private, public or not-for-sector sector.
